New appointment to Grow HR board and changes to the company’s leadership team

We are pleased to announce a new appointment to the Grow HR board and changes to the company’s leadership team.

Senior consultant and Grow HR shareholder Mandy Cartwright steps up to join the board after six years with the company.

Most of our clients already know Mandy, and her appointment is part of a planned and orderly succession. She has made a major contribution to Grow HR over the past six years, becoming a shareholder three years ago. Now joining the board reflects her continued growth and development.

Our philosophy is that Grow HR shareholders and directors are actively involved in the business, and we couldn’t be more pleased to see our succession plan working so well.

After more than a decade with the company, and after much reflection, Grow HR founder Murray Cowan has decided to leave the business at the end of March to take on his new business venture.

Murray has had an amazing 12 years, starting Grow HR back in 2005. Along with Dave Robb who joined Murray in 2006, they have created a great team, and seen the business grow and flourish.

Murray says: “Working with our colleagues, clients and business partners has been an absolute privilege.

I have achieved everything that I set out to, including seeing Grow HR named as the supreme winner at last year’s Hastings City Business Awards. None of this would have been possible without our amazing clients and partners.

Dave and Mandy have been a great support to me as I have worked through the process of making this decision. I leave Grow HR in great shape with a talented and capable board and team. I will miss the work, but mostly I will miss the people.”

Murray’s departure has been planned for, and clients can expect a smooth and orderly transition and business as usual.

New consultant Kerry Goldfinch also joins the company, following an extensive search in anticipation of my departure. Kerry has spent the past two years as a senior HR manager. Prior to that, she spent seven years with Heinz Wattie’s as HR Site Manager and Employee Development Manager for NZ.  She is a great addition to the team and has already started meeting and working with clients.
